Historic family business venture into E Commerce with new website. Big Brand Beds is a new website development initiative for vokins@home, specialists in kitchen, bedroom and homeware products with prominent high street stores across Sussex for over 125 years.Recognising the rapid change in the decision making process for researching and buying products online we were approached by vokins@home, to create a new website for the company with full e-commerce capabilities to extend the company's market reach.

Our initial strategic plan focused towards the company's core product offering; divan beds mattresses and headboards, to generate brand awareness through good natural search engine placement and encourage browsing of their Silentnight product range.

With a relatively small offering of 40 products our full e-commerce content managed shopping cart solution, allows the client ease of control with the management and availability of over 1,000 complex product variations.

On completion of the project the client was handed full control over the following activities allowing them to run all aspects of their online business from enquiry through to product delivery.

  • Product management and categorisation
  • Publication of special offers and discounts
  • Order status management and online payment handling
  • Automated email notification of customer order status
  • Excellent natural search engine positioning
  • Extended Google site maps export facility

The Big Brand Bed website design was built with growth very much at the forefront of the decision making process with further manufacturers and product lines planned for the near future.

Solv-it trained me to upload information from our agency system to the website and everything was very simply put and I have no problem updating our website every day.
