Fly Spain's new website design is flying high above the rest. After 4 years the original production of the site had become a little exhausted as it does when you work within the constraints of a site for a number of years, so we needed to shakes things and add some new life.We didn't need to completely rebuild the site as it was already generating excellent results with their natural search engine placement, we just needed to move the website onto the next evolutionary phase of development and extend the client's level of control over the content publication

The briefing...

The key driver behind the website moving forward was to increase the end users' awareness of related business activities and push their unique selling point, the weather and available flying time, being a vital component to any paragliding enthusiast.

Forming a strategy for future growth

With the client now being active on Facebook generating some great customer feedback and testimonials, posting training movies on YouTube and publishing regular email newsletters we had some great new content to introduce to the site and a number of activities to consolidate to minimise workload and reduce costs.

What impact did these changes have on the design?

Back in the day when we originally designed the site, the standard dimension for a website design was 800px wide, now that this has increased to 1024px with a few tweaks to their existing design this has enabled us to introduce a right hand teaser column which we're now using to raise the awareness of their business activities.

Taking the reins over their own website

With the latest version of our CMS (Content Management System) we we're able to centralise a number of online activities, allowing the client to manage their site structure and content, post regular blogs, publish movies and email clients regular newsletters all under the roof of one integrated system, saving time and money.

Ongoing support and training

Through continual guidance and support we have increased the client's knowledge and understanding of search engine optimisation to extend the reach of their content by targeting specific niche key phrases to continually justify expenditure through measured results and calculated decisions.

"Solvit have been helping us since we first started. It's been refreshing to have a working relationship that's mutally interested in our success as we are and not just about selling us a service. Solvit have offered advice and caution when planning our website, made a real effort understanding our needs and that of our market. Not concerned with flashy upgrades necessarily but content, functionality and realtime Market response. Solvit have been responsive to our needs and experimental ideas offering only sound advice on a practical level and brilliantly patient with our Internet learning curve. Many companies pitch each year for our business but the Solvit team have always delivered results which is fundamentaly keen to our bottom line. Having Solvit as our web manager is like having real skills and expertise on hand only when you need it. We can't praise them enough ...."
