Historic cricket club members united online through new website development
Their first website development is a valuable information source for the historic Sussex Martlets cricket club, making communication with members around the world effortless.
The Sussex Martlets have members of all ages, playing and non-playing, right around the world. Keeping everyone up to date with fixtures and results, contact information and news was difficult and costly.
As a 'wandering' club, they also use grounds right across the county of Sussex, and, being over 100 years old and with a pretty glittering alumni, the club gets a lot of media interest.
Our brochure website solution matches the style and ethos of the club with a classic but fresh design and is easy to use. Member contact details are available but protected in pdf documents which can be easily maintained or circulated offline or via email. A fixtures module lets the committee members edit and enter events and games, with tailored information and match reports associated with each.
To help members and spectators find the venues, we integrated an adapted Google Maps display complete with directions, contact details and website addresses. We even threw in a weather report for good luck.
Sussex Martlets are delighted with their new site and are already thinking about how to extend its range in the future with our other services and modules.
