Hurrah... we've joined the online revolution and started working completely remotely. Life begins!
After 6 years of staring at the same grey walls at an office in Hove, Brighton, we've finally unsheckled our ball and chain to the office and started working remotely.
We're now part of a growing number of businesses who have joined the new revolution of nomad workers, remote workers, home businesses, web 2.0 companies call it what you will I can't tell you how liberating these feels.
So, what's the big deal?
It's taken 8 months of toil and hard work but we've finally thrown away the key to our office. This doesn't mean we work any less professionally or with lack of direction, far from it. As a team we are now each able to chase our own dream of what the Internet really means to us as a individuals.
How does this effect our customers?
In this time we have produced a proven development process and website production tool (Content Management System) built on customer requirements, not personal ego. Working remotely has forced us to document everything like crazy in order that we can support a growing number of system users eager to maximise the return on investment.
Who would benefit from our help and advice?
We've helped clients at all stages of website development, having been a start up ourselves we 've worked with a huge amount of small and independant businesses in the early days. We've also helped large blue chip clients such as GB Airways (the then largest BA franchise, unfortunately now part of EasyJet) and Sussex County Cricket Club.
'Going remote' checklist
In order to begin considering going remote, we thought we'd put together a list of obstacles that we had to overcome to help you along the way*.
