News Blog module now submits to blog directories using the popular Ping-o-Matic online service

Submitting new articles to blog directories can encourage spiders to crawl your content faster and increase targeted web traffic.

News Blog module now submits to blog directories using the popular Ping-o-Matic online service. Submitting new articles to blog directories can encourage spiders to crawl your content faster and increase targeted web traffic. Blog directories act like search engines, but specifically for blogs, letting visitors find content of interest, from gardening tips, to popular recipes, and technology.

User enters in the keywords that they are searching for and the directory lists the most relevant results. Results are often also sorted chronologically, with the most recent entries being listed at the top. Directories can help promote a blog or specific article by improving search results across all major search engines.

The OmCore News Blog module has now been updated so that all new articles are posted to a popular service called Ping-o-matic (http://pingomatic.com/). This service, run by the WordPress Foundation, in turn submits the title of the article and the URL, to the following blog directories:

Ping-o-matic regularly updates this list adding new directories as they are launched.
